Penn College highlights workforce priorities on ‘PA Newsmakers’

Bradley M. Webb, dean of engineering technologies, is featured on the latest episode of “PA Newsmakers." He discusses the state’s workforce needs and the role of technical education in meeting employer demand.

Webb outlined how Penn College prepares students for high-demand careers in manufacturing, engineering technologies, and the skilled trades. He noted that employers across the state continue to report shortages of qualified workers and said Penn College has expanded programs, labs, and industry partnerships to respond.

During the interview, Webb highlighted the school’s impressive post-graduation job placement rates and discussed efforts aimed at reaching more students and parents with information on high-wage, high-skill technical careers. Webb also highlighted what he sees as opportunities for further collaboration between education, policymakers, and industry.
