WNEP-TV’s Mackenzie Aucker visited the kitchens of Le Jeune Chef Restaurant on Monday to learn about the work Penn College hospitality students and staff are doing to feed the 20 teams competing in this year’s Little League Baseball World Series.
Le Jeune Chef, a live-learning lab for Penn College baking and culinary students, is providing three meals a day to the competitors in the team housing area at Little League International, equaling about 12,000 meals a day when all teams are present. The crew began its work when the first teams arrived on Aug. 8 and will continue through series’ end on Aug. 24.
Aucker interviewed Steven R. Penley, a baking & pastry arts student from Chambersburg, Luke C. Whipple, an applied management student (and 2025 culinary arts technology grad) from Shamokin Dam, and Patrick E. Hufnagle, pastry chef.
