A quiet act of kindness was captured last week during Spring Break.
Brenda M. Kline, office assistant to counseling services, was making her way to The Cupboard, Penn College’s food pantry for students in need of food assistance, with a cartload of food to donate in observance of her 37th work anniversary at the institution.
Heidi E. Roupp, disability and access resources specialist/staff interpreter, spotted Kline’s discreet intention: “I caught her walking the halls of the Campus Center with a cart of food. I asked her where she was heading. Brenda humbly shared that, every year on her work anniversary, she shops for as many items to donate to The Cupboard as her years worked here. She was taking 37 items downstairs. I couldn't help but share an amazing employee act of kindness. She was bashful at the idea of me taking the photo, but what a cool idea/tradition to be shared!”
