Award winners were celebrated in the Pennsylvania Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg on April 24.
“Healthy and inclusive learning environments give our children a strong foundation to grow and thrive. Every child, regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic background, should have the opportunity to celebrate their individual identity and feel welcomed while in our early education programs,” said Val Arkoosh, secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. “I am grateful to the dedicated professionals honored today who, through their work, demonstrate their steadfast commitment to Pennsylvania’s children and their future by creating inclusive and safe spaces for them to learn and succeed.”

Mumin, state Education Department secretary. “Through their dedication, they pave the way for every child to have the freedom to chart their own course and the opportunity to succeed. The Children’s Learning Center serves Penn College students and employees whose children need high-quality, on-campus care and education while their parents work or attend classes. It is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
