According to the abstract, Perez’s chapter, “Characterization and Failure Analysis of Plastics,” is a “reference and guide to help engineers determine the causes of failure in plastic components and make corrective adjustments through design and manufacturing modifications.”
Perez has taught at Penn College since 2018. His plastics industry experience includes a decade working as a failure analyst and senior engineer at Element Materials Technology, a global provider of testing, inspection and certification services for advanced industrial supply chains.
