Specht joined the Williamsport Area Community College physical education faculty in 1971 and retired from Penn College in 2010 as an associate professor of fitness & lifetime sports.
He was the WACC Wildcat basketball coach for a number of years, and coached other sports – tennis and cross-country included.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 900 Elm St., Montoursville. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, and from 9-10 a.m. Friday in the church.
