DEP Secretary, Harrisburg Mayor Tour College's Main Campus

The secretary of the state Department of Environmental Protection and the mayor of Harrisburg were among those joining state Sen. Gene Yaw for a tour of Penn College's main campus Friday morning. DEP Secretary Michael L. Krancer and Mayor Linda D. Thompson, along with members of the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus, visited the college's Madigan Library, the Honda laboratory in the Parkes Automotive Technology Center, and welding and machining labs in the Avco-Lycoming Metal Trades Center. The group also saw a number of campus attractions from aboard a River Valley Transit trolley and discussed Marcellus Shale issues over a Le Jeune Chef Restaurant lunch that included Larry L. Michael, assistant vice president for workforce development and special projects, and Tracy L. Brundage, assistant vice president for workforce and economic development.
