PA Students Assist With Health Festival

Junior-year students from Penn College's physician assistant program participated in Susquehanna Health System's Health Festival, held April 22 at the Lycoming Mall in Muncy.

Under the supervision of PA-C program staff Paula D. Holmes, program coordinator, and Kathleen A. Wiegand, clinical coordinator, the students performed more than 200 blood-pressure checks.

In addition to the blood-pressure screenings, the PA students provided wellness education and discussed the Penn College educational experience. In all, 20 PA students participated in this community service.
