    Margaret married Hunter Holtz '14, electrical technology; '16, building automation technology, on Oct. 23, 2021. They reside in Coatesville.

    Tammie (Lupold) DeWert, 1980

    computer science technology

    Tammie retired from Corning Inc. in March 2021 as an IT technical development/management tech leader. She had been employed  by Corning since 1980, and while working, she earned a bachelor's in systems analysis and applications from Elmira College (1987) and a master's in software development and management (1997). She resides in Corning, N.Y.

    John is retired after 40 years co-owning an insurance agency. He resides in Middleburg. His son Nicholas is a 2011 Penn College graduate in business administration: management. Nicholas works for C&N Bank and resides in Loyalsock.

    Rachael is a senior account manager for Therapist Solutions. She resides in Ledyard, Conn., with husband, Jake Schommer '09, welding and fabrication engineering technology. They welcomed a son in September 2022.

    Kenneth is a fire alarm engineer 2 for M.C. Dean Inc., responsible for designing and programming large new-construction and existing fire alarm systems. He resides in Stafford, Va.

    David retired from GE Healthcare as an advanced product specialist, magnetic resonance. He resides in Palm Bay, Fla.

  • Juliette (Yeager) Finley, 2010

    physical fitness specialist

    Juliette is a therapeutic nutrition specialist-outpatient for Abbott Laboratories. She is a medical sales representative for outpatient nutrition in primary care, oncology, bariatric surgery and wound management. She resides in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and welcomed a daughter, Chandler Larue Finley, in August 2021.

    Thomas is president of South Florida State College. He also holds a bachelor's from Lycoming College, a master's from Temple University and a doctorate from Virginia Tech, with additional graduate studies at University of Maryland and Penn State. He resides in Sebring, Fla.

    Scott is a career and technical education specialist for the Highlands County School Board. His responsibilities include career and technical education curriculum, budgeting, grant writing, and program support and expansion. He resides in Lake Placid, Fla.

    early childhood education

    Samantha is a homemaker, busy running her household and caring for her family. She resides in Palm Coast, Fla.

  • Gerald Alkire, 1960

    electronics technology

    Gerald retired from Westinghouse as a project engineer who designed, built and serviced large-turbine generators. He has five U.S. patents related to the work. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1974. "The electronics education I received at Williamsport Technical Institute enhanced my electrical engineering career," he said. That career spanned 50-plus years with Westinghouse and Siemens. He has been married for 60 years and has one son and one granddaughter. He resides in Winter Garden, Fla.

    Karen is retired and resides in Naples, Fla.

    Matthew is a senior broadcast systems engineer for HSN (formerly known as the Home Shopping Network). He resides in St. Petersburg, Fla.

    Austin is a creative manager for the Florida Panthers NHL team, overseeing and maintaining the team's brand. He resides in Plantation, Fla.

    electronics technology: industrial process control

    Garret is a maintenance manager for Hydro Extrusions. He resides in St. Augustine, Fla.

  • James Zbick, 1971

    journalism

    James retired as an associate editor for the Times News, in Lehighton. He continues, in retirement, as a conservative opinion writer. He received a Keystone Press Award in 2014 for special projects. He recently moved from southwest Florida to southwest Missouri, where he plans to open and curate The Faith, Family & Country Heritage Museum, a new attraction in Branson, Mo., that highlights the nation's past. He resides in Blue Eye, Mo.

    Heather is a senior architectural designer for Publix Supermarkets. She resides in Lakeland, Fla., with her husband, Doug Hughes (formerly Doug Updyke) '94, welding. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and are the parents of a 20-year-old son.
