New scholarships

In 2020-21, the Penn College Foundation awarded scholarships to 474 students, totaling $1,048,746. Sixteen new scholarships were established through Penn College and the foundation.

Philip R. Boob Memorial Scholarship was established by Philip Boob and Pamela Smith to benefit students in aviation degrees. 

Family First Scholarship was established by Denise Miller to support students from Montgomery Area High School who are the first in their family to attend Penn College. 

Brian and Joanna Flynn Scholarship was established to support students in the graphic design bachelor’s degree. 

Gilmour Global Experiences Endowed Fund was established by Davie Gilmour to support students participating in semester-long or short-term study abroad experiences. 

Gilmour Graphic Design Scholarship was established by Fred Gilmour to support students studying graphic design.

Gilmour Student Competition Endowed Fund was established by Davie Gilmour to support travel expenses for students participating in academic-related competitions. 

Brody and Cooper Hartley Nontraditional Nursing Student Scholarship was established to support nontraditional students in any nursing program. 

Cavan Irvine Memorial Scholarship was established by Irvine’s family to support students in the physician assistant program. 

Kline Family Scholarship was established by Doug and Loni Kline to support students who receive accommodations through the Office of Disability and Access Services.

Marie E. Knecht Memorial Scholarship for Master’s in Nursing was established by William Knecht to support students in the Master of Science in Nursing program. 

Keith S. Kuzio Larson Design Group Scholarship was established by the Larson Design Group to support students enrolled in architecture, civil engineering, surveying, HVAC and building automation engineering technology with a preference for minority and/or female students. 

Major General Fred Marty Endowed Scholarship was established to support contracted ROTC students. 

SOAR, Students Overcoming and Rising, Fund was established by Stephanie Suzadail to provide financial assistance to students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

Warfel Construction Endowed Scholarship was established to support students in construction, concrete science and heavy construction equipment from Lancaster, Chester, Berks, Montgomery, Lebanon or York counties. 

Worth & Company Excellence Scholarship was established to support interns, employees or dependents of Worth & Company or students studying HVAC, welding and construction management. 

Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation Growth

In the past 10 years, supporters have enabled the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation to award $6.89 million in student scholarships.
