At Constructa Services, our culture is built on continuous training and development. Our leaders work shoulder to shoulder with the crew, making sure they have the right skills, tools, and equipment to thrive. Last year our daughter was touring Penn College’s dental hygiene program with hopes of joining the women’s soccer team. The soccer coach, Ian Scheller, introduced us to the Wildcat Club, and we enthusiastically agreed to become sponsors. That connection then led us to Corporate Tomorrow Makers.

Penn College is the foundation of my career. The Penn College building construction technology program is where I started my construction education and it prepared me to enter the construction industry. Since graduation, my career has elevated from a concrete laborer to project manager, vice president of field operations, and launching my own business. Since my time on campus, Penn College has continued to evolve with industry demands while preparing the next generation of construction professionals. That preparation was evident at the Fall 2025 Career Fair. Students came ready with resumes and business cards in hand, eager to meet with recruiters and companies looking to hire. 

The top qualities we look for when recruiting prospective employees are strong presentation and communication skills. These traits establish the foundation for a successful first impression. We also value a willingness to learn and remain teachable. As students transition into employees, our culture requires adaptability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. 

I would encourage prospective students to explore the wide range of programs and offerings at Penn College. There truly is something for everyone, with certificates and degrees that can help set students on a path to success. The college’s strong graduation rate and impressive 98% job placement rate distinguish Penn College from its peers. Beyond academics, students should also take advantage of campus activities, support centers, dormitories, and athletic programs—there is so much more to experience than the day-to-day classroom.
