Join us for “Infection Control in Practice” presented by Penn College’s Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association (S.A.D.H.A.) and featuring Angelina Marinucci, RDH, B.S., Clinical Education Manager, Hu-Friedy Mfg. Co., LLC.

This seminar will introduce to you the infection control principles and best practices pertaining to sterilization and disinfection of patient care items as well as dental unit waterlines, in accordance with the CDC guidelines. You will learn strategies to assist you in maximizing safety and efficiency of instrument processing. In addition, you will learn how to optimize the quality of water that you deliver to your patients.

About the Presenter

Angelina Marinucci currently holds the title of Clinical Education Manager with Hu-Friedy Group, a division of STERIS Corporation.  Angie is a Registered Dental Hygienist with a Bachelor’s in Science.  She is currently working on her Master’s in Business Administration, with a marketing focus, from La Salle University.

Angie received her Bachelor of Science degree and Dental Hygiene license from the University of Pittsburgh.  She has over 10 years of experience in the dental profession.  For the last four years, Angie has been consulting with faculty, residents, and students in dental and dental hygiene programs.  She frequently provides educational programs on a plethora of dental and infection prevention-related topics.

Prior to joining Hu-Friedy, Angie worked as a clinical registered dental hygienist and worked in medical market research consulting.  She also partnered with several programs to conduct missions trips to Honduras and Jamaica.  She was featured in the University of Pittsburgh’s alumni magazine in 2020 for her endeavors in continued education.
