Please contact your high school and have an official copy emailed to Lisa Fries, lrf7@pct.edu. If you have a Pennsylvania GED, please have an official copy of your transcript emailed to Lisa Fries, lrf7@pct.edu. Official copies only. Submissions from prospective students will not be accepted.
A nonrefundable $25 application fee is required at the time of application submission to the Pennsylvania College of Technology Practical Nursing Program.
Payment of the application fee and submission of an application do not guarantee admission into the program.
Applicants must meet all admission requirements and submit all required documentation by the established deadlines to be considered for acceptance. Incomplete applications or failure to meet program requirements may result in an applicant being ineligible for admission.
All applicants to the Pennsylvania College of Technology Practical Nursing Program are required to submit criminal background clearances as part of the admission process.
All required clearances must be dated within 90 days prior to the first day of class.
Criminal Background Disclosure
A criminal history may affect an applicant's eligibility for admission into the Practical Nursing Program, participation in required clinical experiences, and future eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Certain criminal offenses may prevent students from participating in required clinical rotations. Because clinical experiences are a mandatory component of the program, applicants who do not meet clinical placement requirements may be ineligible for admission or continuation in the program.
Admission to or graduation from the Practical Nursing Program does not guarantee eligibility to take the NCLEX-PN examination or obtain licensure through the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Why do you want to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and what qualities or experiences do you believe will help you succeed in the Practical Nursing Program?
In your response, please also explain how you plan to balance the academic, clinical, and attendance requirements of the program with your personal responsibilities.
