At Penn College, one of the many ways accounting and business students get hands-on experience is by lending their expertise through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. VITA is a win-win for students and the community alike. The free program is open to low-income individuals and families who are in need of tax assistance. Student and faculty volunteers are IRS-certified to provide basic tax return preparation and filing.
Visit the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) website for more information about the VITA program.
Monday: 9–11:45 a.m.
Wednesday: 9–11:45 a.m.
If you are interested in taking advantage of VITA, please schedule an appointment below. Walk-in assistance without an appointment is not available. Hours of operation will be used for interview / drop-off of tax return information and pick-up of finalized returns.
If the College closes due to weather, VITA will close as well.
VITA representatives will be available starting Monday, February 9. Due to high demand, the VITA program will stop accepting new clients after Monday, April 6.
(Note: Student tax returns will also be done and at no charge.)
