Attention

Review the Alternative Credit FAQs for general information, guidelines, and requirements before following these steps:

  1. Pick up a mathematics credit-by-exam application packet in the Business, Arts & Sciences Office, ACC, Rm. 102.

  2. Review the Required Student Outcomes located on the course syllabus, provided in the application packet, before deciding to apply. You may ask to speak to a math faculty member if you have questions.

  3. Submit completed application packet to the Dean of Business, Arts & Sciences.

  4. After notification of application approval, pay the $50 fee at the Bursar's Office, SASC Rm. 2098.  Exam date should be set up individually with the Business, Arts & Sciences office.

  5. Present fee receipt to the Business, Arts & Sciences office prior to exam date.

  6. Report to the Testing Center, ACC Rm. 133, on the exam date. Bring the following items with you:
    o    Student ID
o    Appropriate materials to take the test (pencils, erasers, straight edge).  You will not need to bring a calculator, as a TI-84 graphing calculator will be provided.
The exam length varies by course. In most cases, test time is between two and four hours. If you are taking more than one exam and there are time conflicts, consult the Business, Arts & Sciences Office to arrange an alternate schedule.

  7. The Business, Arts & Sciences Office will notify you of your exam results approximately one week after the exam.
