Pennsylvania College of Technology's computer aided drafting technology major recently was recertified by the American Design Drafting Association. ADDA, an organization for designers, drafters, architects, illustrators and technical artists, provides certification to recognize schools whose design/drafting curriculum meets its established and approved standards.

A faculty member in Pennsylvania College of Technology's drafting and computer aided design department recently passed an eight-hour examination to become a Certified SolidWorks Professional. Jeffrey D. Mather became one of 23 professionals in Pennsylvania to earn Certified SolidWorks Professional status when he took the test during the SolidWorks World 2007 User Conference and Exposition Feb.

The two-year computer-aided drafting technology major at Pennsylvania College of Technology has been recertified by the American Design Drafting Association, a distinction currently held by only four schools in the commonwealth. "It is programs such as yours that assure competent design and drafting professionals for the future," noted the ADDA letter that accompanied the recertification notice.
