'Sex on Campus' frankly talks the talk

    Anatomical aids helped teach students how to properly self-examine breasts and testicles.Rain didn't prevent food truck patrons from snagging some yummy chicken tacos.Sex-related hallway diversions use fun to convey life-alteringly serious messages.Cornhole wasn't a big hit due to the weather, but the game boards delivered information suitable for all seasons.Piper, an advocate for second chances, challenges the notion that people are solely defined by their experiences (and encourages her audiences to do the same)."Sex on Campus," a recent two-part event facilitated by the Student Engagement Office, featured a health fair and an empowering message from a survivor of sexual assault. From 5-7 p.m. in the Bush Campus Center, students could play games, earn prizes and learn about sexual health through a variety of interactive displays. A keynote appearance by Brittany Piper – a leading national expert on sexual violence and prevention – followed upstairs in Penn's Inn, where attendees learned about such critical issues as consent and bystander intervention through an inspiring story of adversity and resilience.
