The inaugural Williamsport Main Street Torch Run is set for 5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, and the Penn College community is invited to celebrate local Special Olympics athletes, who are preparing for the 2025 Special Olympics Pennsylvania Summer Games, taking place June 5-7 in State College. Beginning at Lycoming College and ending at Penn College, the run will be followed by a pep rally on the patio and parking lot of the Davie Jane Gilmour Center.
Pennsylvania College of Technology Athletics honored student-athletes at the eighth annual Celebrating Athletic Triumphs and Successes ceremony, also known as "The CATS" awards. The ceremony was held in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium.
The second annual Aviators Ball repeated the success of last year’s inaugural event, organized by the Student Veteran Organization and held at Penn College’s Lumley Aviation Center at the Williamsport Regional Airport in Montoursville. Among events toasting out the academic year, the semi-formal affair featured games, music, photo ops, food and Wildcat connections.
“Building Resilience – Making Positive Changes” was the theme of the fourth annual Wildcat Wellness Fair, hosted recently by students enrolled in the Clinical Psychology class, Counseling Services and Student Engagement. The healthy and healing hands-on happening featured a range of Penn College student organizations and services – all aiming to uplift, encourage and de-stress students during the busy spring season.
The annual “Take Your Child to Work Day” at Penn College is always centered on exciting career-focused activities. The Office of People & Culture invites employees to take part in the national celebration.
It’s that time of year again: Penn College’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center is rolling out the “greenhouse carpet,” inviting shoppers to its annual bedding plant sale. The much-anticipated event begins Monday, May 5 and runs through Wednesday, May 7. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, with Wednesday’s hours 9 a.m. to noon.
Pennsylvania College of Technology will hold three commencement ceremonies May 16-17 for the 885 students who have petitioned to graduate following the Spring 2025 semester. Nearly 750 students will march at the ceremonies, all of which are ticketed events to be held at the Community Arts Center. All of the ceremonies will be livestreamed.
