Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library will serve as an interimsite for essential PA CareerLink services while the agency finalizes its relocation to a new location in downtown Williamsport. PA CareerLink staff will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Children's Learning Center classes have been visiting The Gallery at Penn College to take in the current exhibition of works in felt by Meredith Setser and to hear about felt-making from Penny G. "Made in Central PA," a manufacturers' showcase of the products and career opportunities available in Penn College's nine-county back yard, was held Thursday on main campus. About a dozen people including teachers and counselors from area high schools, as well as representatives of regional career and technology centers attended.
Camp ESCAPE went to The Penn State All Sports Museum and Creamery on Wednesday, learning all about The Pennsylvania State University's rich athletic tradition and which teams have won national championships. The museum features many hands-on exhibits, as well as video clips from selected sporting events. The campers also really enjoyed the Berkey Creamery, where they all had a tasty cold treat!
More than a half-dozen members of automotive faculty from area vocational-technical schools attended a College Avenue Labs workshop on the technology and application of waterborne finishes.
Plastics industry representatives traveled to the plastics facilities at Penn College this week for the Plastics Manufacturing Center's Extrusion Seminar and Hands-On Workshop. The seminar and workshop are led by extrusion consultant Chris Rauwendaal and Penn College instructor Kirk M. Cantor, professor of plastics technology.

Penn College's summerlong Connections orientation program drew closer to its opening session Thursday morning, as staff gathered in the Victorian House to get acquainted. College President Davie Jane Gilmour joined co-workers in a breakfast meetingwith student representatives, known as "Links" for the relationships they will forge between the college and its newest enrollees and their families.
