Services scheduled for retired nursing instructor

    Mary E. Erdman

    The funeral will be Friday for Mary E. Erdman, a Penn College alumna and a retired member of its nursing faculty, who died Thursday, March 9, at the age of 65.

    Erdman, who earned two nursing degrees from the college – an associate (1996) and a bachelor’s (2010) – joined the full-time faculty in Fall 2014 after four years as a part-time clinical instructor. She received an Excellence in Academic Advising Award in 2016 and retired last May.

    A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Knight-Confer’s, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, followed by a funeral service there at 10 a.m. Friday. A full obituary is available at the funeral home website.
