Young Entrepreneur Honored at Chamber Education Celebration

A young entrepreneur who has created a vibrant marketing company while also playing a role in Williamsport’s emerging arts scene received an Alumni of the Year Award at the 16th annual Education Celebration hosted by the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce on Thursday night at the Williamsport Country Club.
John R. Yogodzinski III, a 2007 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology, was among those honored at the event that recognizes alumni, educators and students nominated by their educational institutions, and celebrates the cooperation among Lycoming County school districts, colleges, and business and industry.
Yogodzinski is CEO of The Graphic Hive and director of Converge Gallery, both in downtown Williamsport. He launched The Graphic Hive in 2009 and the gallery, originally named Grey Art Gallery, in 2011.
The Graphic Hive assists businesses with marketing, design, technology and printing needs, and was recognized with the Emerging Business of the Year award in 2015 by the Chamber.
Among recent additions to his enterprises, Yogodzinski added framing to the list of gallery services and developed a separate brand for the service called “Frame It Here.” The new brand was introduced in January 2016, at the same time as his acquisition of Kolb Net Works, one of Williamsport’s first website design shops.
For 2017, Yogodzinski has added a wedding-focused brand, Devoted To Your Day, which utilizes services already offered by The Graphic Hive, but focuses them on the wedding market.
Yogodzinski has served as an active leader in various arts-focused initiatives in Williamsport, including its popular First Friday events. He serves on the executive board of the Lycoming Arts Council and as chair of its marketing committee. The council promotes the arts in Lycoming County and aims to enhance the strong relationship between the arts and economic development.
Yogodzinksi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in graphic communications management with a minor in business administration, graduating magna cum laude. During his time at Penn College, he was a member of Gamma Epsilon Tau, a co-ed graphic communications and graphic design fraternity, and was inducted into the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society.
Originally from Luzerne County, Yogodzinski resides in Turbotville with his wife, Karrie, and daughter, Kailey. He volunteers at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Turbotville. He is the son of Susan and John R. Yogodzinski Jr., of Harveys Lake.
The Education Celebration also included Business Partner in Education honors for Alabaster Coffee Roaster & Tea Co., and Outstanding Educator and Student Recognition awards for representatives of all nine county school districts.
