First-year students in a variety of automotive/collision repair majors at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be eligible for assistance from a scholarship fund recently established by the Susquehanna Valley Corvette Club.
Awards from the Susquehanna Valley Corvette Club Scholarship Fund will be made each fall – preferably to a first-year student enrolled full time in the automotive technology, automotive service sales and marketing, collision repair technology, or automotive restoration technology major.
Prospective recipients should also rank in the top half of their high school graduating class and be residents of Bradford, Clinton, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Potter, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga or Union counties.
The club was formed in 2003 from a small group of people who became friends through Corvette ownership; today, it has grown to 100 members.
Representatives of the SVCC Scholarship Committee visited campus in October to meet the first recipient of the scholarship: Shane R. Spencer, of Northumberland, a collision repair technology student who plans to dual-major with automotive restoration technology.
For more information about making a donation or establishing a scholarship fund, email or call the Institutional Advancement Office at 866-GIVE-2-PC.
