College's Proximity to Great Outdoors Obvious in Kayaking Expeditions
Monday, August 27, 2012
About 40 Penn College students participated in Saturday's third annual Kayaking Short Course, sponsored by the Student Activities Office. For a reasonable $10 fee – with lunch included – participants got equipment and instruction led by Kevin O'Shea and two colleagues from Country Ski and Sports in Montoursville. Students entered the West Branch of the Susquehanna River at the Lester L. Greevy Sr. boat launch in Loyalsock Township, with four-hour sessions that began at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
