Supervisory/Team Leader Training Program Offered at Penn College

For those ready to take their business to the next level, Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering a new Supervisory/Team Leader Program for key employees, beginning in November.

Sessions for the affordable training program, presented by Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College, will be held at the Center for Business & Workforce Development on the college's main campus in Williamsport.

The Supervisory/Team Leader Program is offered in four levels. Supervisory/Team Leader Program Level I consists of four half-day sessions running from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The cost for the four sessions is $595. Eric J. Bergstrom is the instructor.

The Level I program serves as a foundation for new leaders and provides existing leaders with an opportunity to update their skills.

The individual sessions for Supervisory/Team Leader Program Level I are:

  • "The Changing Role of the Supervisor: Emerging Roles and Responsibilities" (Thursday, Nov. 3)
  • "Developing Your Leadership Style" (Wednesday, Nov. 16)
  • "Fostering Effective Communications" (Thursday, Dec. 1)
  • "Solving Problems and Making Decisions" (Wednesday, Dec. 14)

Participants may choose to continue their training with Level II sessions offered in Spring 2012, Level III sessions in Fall 2012 and Level IV sessions in Spring 2013.
