Student News

Congratulations to the following student leaders who have been selected as Summer Resident Assistants and Summer Conference Assistants.

Summer Resident Assistants are paraprofessional staff members who are friendly, helpful upper-class students who live just around the corner and make life in the summer residence halls (The Village Apartments) a little easier. The Summer RA is a person who demonstrates responsibility, teamwork and a positive attitude. Above all else, the Summer RA is a role model and has the opportunity to influence a great number of students' lives.

Summer Conference Assistants are also paraprofessional staff members who are often times the first person a guest comes in contact with while attending a conference or camp at Penn College. Their primary responsibility is efficient and quality customer service to our guests. In addition, Summer Conference Assistants:

  • Provide effective and quality customer service to all guests
  • Serve as a source of information concerning Penn College and the Williamsport community
  • Facilitate conference check-ins and checkouts
  • Participate in the Conference Training Programs
  • Participate in inspecting rooms prior (and after) to conferences
  • Communicate, role model and consistently enforce Residence Life handbook and conference policies
  • Report all emergencies and situations
