IEEE Branch Web Site Runner-Up in International Competition

Edwin B. WeaverFor the second straight year, the Pennsylvania College of Technology Student Branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers placed fifth in the institute's annual international Web site contest held recently.

More than 120 entries from around the world were judged on content, navigability, originality, overall presentation, portability and load time. The webmaster, Edwin B. Weaver, of Wellsboro, a senior in the information technology: Web and application development major, worked with chapter members to create and update the Web site.

Upon receiving confirmation from IEEE, club adviser Scott Neuhard noted: "Ed made us all look good again in this international competition with his programming and design talents, and we are extremely proud of his work and willingness to maintain our student chapter Web site. We are glad he was with us for the last couple of years and now look forward to finding another student to replace him when he graduates at the end of the current semester."
