Professor Appointed Public Relations Officer for Professional Society

David L. EvansDavid L. Evans, a professor of biology at Pennsylvania College of Technology, was appointed public relations officer for the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society, the major professional society for teachers of anatomy and physiology in higher education.

In the role, Evans will handle media relations for the group, contacting the media to provide information and facilitating dialogue between reporters and HAPS officers. He will also attend meetings of related societies.

The Human Anatomy and Physiology Society was founded to promote communication among teachers of human anatomy and physiology in colleges, universities and related institutions; to present workshops and conferences where members can obtain information about the latest developments in health and science fields; and to encourage educational research and publication by HAPS members.

Evans holds a doctorate from the University of Illinois, a master's degree from Utah State University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona.
