Students, Alumnus Meet Trio of Famed Air-Show Performers

Two Pennsylvania College of Technology aviation students and a 2002 graduate participated in last week'sExperimental Aircraft Association Fly-In and Convention in Oshkosh, Wis., meeting and speaking with three of the world's top air-show performers.
Among the attendees were Marolous D. "Willie" Cebulka, Linden, who received a bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance technology in 2002; and two current students in that major: William F. Stepp IV of DuBoistown, starting his junior year this fall; and Gail A. Krifka of Enola,about to begin her senior year.
"This is one example of the many opportunities available for Penn College aviation students," noted Thomas D. Inman, an associate professor of avionics who accompanied the group.
In the past year alone, students have been visited by a Blackhawk helicopter and other aircraft at the Lumley Aviation Center in Montoursville, received practical pointers from industry professionals, and toured the Dulles International Airport and the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
All were invited to attend the Textron Lycoming banquet and cruise on Lake Winnebago; after the meal, the vice president and general manager of Textron − where Krifka served an internship this summer − asked for a round of applause for her hard work.
