Kathleen E. Morr recently was promoted to dean of health sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Previously, Morr served as assistant to the dean of health sciences and director of dental hygiene at Penn College. She implemented the college's bachelor-degree program in dental hygiene, and, in addition to the dental hygiene majors, she directed the college's bachelor-degree major in applied health studies.
"I look forward to the challenge, and I believe it's an honor to work with the directors of the various health sciences programs," Morr said.
Before beginning her career at Penn College in 1992, she served on the faculty at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill for 20 years and chaired the dental hygiene department at Idaho State University.
Morr has been an accreditation commissioner for dental hygiene and most recently served as vice president for the Council of Allied Dental Program Directors of the American Dental Education Association. She has been awarded numerous grants and has been published both nationally and internationally.
She earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Columbia University and earned a certificate from the University of Pennsylvania.
Morr succeeds Deborah A. Wilson, who accepted the position of vice president of academic services and chief administrative officer at the Fredericksburg, Va., campus of Germanna Community College.
