Four nursing students active in Pennsylvania College of Technology's Student Nurses' Association were recently honored for their exemplary volunteer efforts in two community-service projects.

Dorothy Mathers, associate professor of medical/surgical nursing and SNA adviser, presented framed certificates to Mindy Confer, of Muncy; Alysse Sechrist, of Montoursville; Joy Kinley, of Cogan Station, and Tracy Torok, of Lewisburg.

During the past holiday season, SNA sponsored a three-week food and clothing drive, collecting two vanloads of donations that were delivered to St. Anthony's Center in Williamsport. They also sponsored a community blood-pressure screening and bake sale at the Lycoming Mall. The proceeds from the bake sale were divided and given to Sun Home Health's Charity Care and Susquehanna Home Health's Hospice Care.
