Does Penn College have a match requirement?
Yes
No

**Note about financial matching requirements: 1:1 match participation for any application is not ideal for Penn College. Penn College is not a research campus and therefore instructional space is not dedicated to workforce development initiatives. Initiatives such as apprenticeship programs are non-credit, workforce training programs that do not utilize on-campus buildings. Additionally, the usual value obtained from square foot and equipment usage is minimal with our facilities. Penn College participation brings the value of hands-on technology education, eight nationally recognized apprenticeships, two state-recognized apprenticeships, proven K-12 engagement in program pathways that align to high demand, high priority occupations, and more. Many of our initiatives are federal, state or donor funded and therefore do not generate fees and revenue that serve as acceptable match values.

*Note about timing for proposal development:
The Penn College grants team respectfully requests:

  • 10 business days to review and respond to needs for support letters, and
  • a minimum of 4 weeks to respond to opportunities necessitating more comprehensive proposal elements and budget development.
