The Center for Business and Workforce Development is a 31,800 sq ft state-of-the-art facility hosting a wide array of open enrollment and customized training classes. Topics such as leadership, industrial, computer and safety, among many others, are available to companies and individuals. The Center features industrial labs, computer labs, spacious classrooms, and two conference rooms.

Federal officials tout apprenticeships at Penn College

Acting Labor Secretary Julie Su and Director of the Domestic Policy Counsel/White House Domestic Policy Advisor Neera Tanden took a few moments to answer questions following their July 11, 2024, announcement event at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The officials announced nationwide grant funding for apprenticeship initiatives totaling $244 million. Penn College is the recipient of a $4 million grant to expand its existing apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs.

College awarded $4 million grant for apprenticeship expansion

A $4 million federal grant will empower Pennsylvania College of Technology to continue serving as a key provider of apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship training programs statewide and beyond in response to employer demand for more workers in advanced manufacturing. The Apprenticeship Building America grant was announced today during a U.S. Department of Labor event with remarks delivered by Julie Su, acting secretary of labor, and Neera Tanden, White House domestic policy advisor.

Penn College polymer training attracts diverse professionals

Two recent workshops conducted by the renowned Plastics Innovation & Resource Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology delivered training to 23 professionals representing 15 companies, six states, Canada and Costa Rica. The five-day Injection Molding Processing Series offered a comprehensive examination of injection molding technology, and the two-day Extrusion Die Design Workshop introduced die design principles for all major extrusion processes.
