The training center supports local emergency responders by providing hands-on instruction that enables them to understand and implement effective emergency-response. In addition, the site is used for industry training and training of potential new hires and incumbent workers through classes that Penn College provides for gas and other industry occupations.
Penn College offers extensive programming that covers energy production. Numerous production courses are designed to meet the needs of oil, natural gas and related companies as well as job seekers looking to enter these industries. Many safety, equipment operation, maintenance and other customizable course topics are available.
