Fifty-two first- and second-year students in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s radiography program participated in the school’s first-ever Radiography Olympics, held July 22 at various locations around campus. The students competed in events designed to provide much-needed relief from summer clinicals, while reinforcing program components.

While most college campuses are known to slow down during the summer, Penn College’s labs were bustling last week as 11 summer camps brought high school students to the college for a hands-on exploration of careers and college life. More than 200 high schoolers from 10 states – and Vietnam – attended.

Kennell, who became the college’s director of athletics in 2011, led the Wildcats’ transition to NCAA Division III membership and discusses the emotional journey to get there.

Pennsylvania College of Technology recently partnered with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, making students in Penn College’s biomedical sciences bachelor’s degree major eligible to apply for LECOM’s Early Acceptance Program. The relationship grants qualified Penn College biomedical sciences students a provisional early acceptance to LECOM’s School of Pharmacy, School of Dental Medicine, College of Osteopathic Medicine or School of Podiatric Medicine.

Penn College’s concrete science technology major is hitting the world stage, thanks to recent posts by World of Concrete, an international trade show that attracts more than 50,000 visitors each year. World of Concrete recently posted a video of Penn College students' experience at the trade show – one of the world's largest – on its website and social media channels.

Pennsylvania College of Technology competitors earned gold medals in three competitions at the 2025 SkillsUSA Championships, held June 25-26 in Atlanta. More than 6,800 students – all champions at the state level – competed in 114 categories. The college brought home gold in TeamWorks, Technical Drafting and Welding Fabrication.

Alumni from the surgical technology program recently returned to campus to reunite and reminisce. Sixteen alumni, who graduated between 1987 and 2024, attended the reunion, which included a tour of the program’s labs.

Penn College welcomed 461 prospective undergraduate and graduate students for its Summer Open House on Saturday. The day offered visitors and guests an opportunity to visit the college’s highly equipped labs and chat with faculty and students about their potential futures as Penn College tomorrow makers.
