Three student organizations are sponsoring a 12-hour dance-a-thon at Pennsylvania College of Technology this month, offering the campus community several ways to contribute to the American Cancer Society. "The Penn College Dance-a-Thon," tagged the "Dance for Hope," will be held from 6 p.m. Friday, March 30, to 6 a.m. Saturday, March 31, in Penn's Inn in the Bush Campus Center.
The Penn College intramural basketball team fought and clawed back Tuesday night, but, in the end, Lycoming College's inside game proved to be the difference. The Plastics Manufacturing Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently began a pilot program to certify employees in Pennsylvania's plastics industry through a special programs contract in cooperation with the Central Pennsylvania Workforce Development Corp., Lewisburg. The contract is part of a Plastics Initiatives Grant authorized by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
William Ma, professor of mathematics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, wrote a paper that was published recently in the book "Quasiconformal Mappings and their Applications." The book contains 13 main lectures from the International Workshop on Quasiconformal Mappings and their Applications, held Dec. 27, 2005, to Jan. 1, 2006, at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India.
