A 19-year-old female, who formerly attended Penn College, reported being grabbed and forced by an unknown, "college-age" white male, who she said was carrying a knife, to an off-campus apartment, where she said she was sexually assaulted. The incident reportedly occurred while the woman was walking on Vine Avenue on Sunday, Aug. 19, at approximately 6 p.m.

Fifteen high school students from Pennsylvania and Maryland, each nominated by his or her graphic arts instructor, attended Pennsylvania College of Technology's first Media Arts Summer Exposure − an intense three days of workshops focused on video production, radio broadcasting, graphic design and graphic communications.

"Welcome Weekend," a two-day get-acquainted program for new Penn College students, began Saturday morning. Blue-shirted students, faculty and staff were on hand across campus to make it easier for students to say "hello" to their new surroundings (and less-traumatic for parents to say "goodbye for now").

Although classes won't begin until Monday and athletes have yet to report, seven fall sports coaches at Pennsylvania College of Technology are gearing up for the start of their seasons.
