Pennsylvania College of Technology's mobile plastics lab is visiting the Schuylkill Technology Centers, Mar Lin, through Feb. 3, offering students a unique opportunity to experience the ever-growing plastics industry.
A student enrolled in Pennsylvania College of Technology's plastics and polymer engineering technology major was chosen to receive the John Manson Memorial Student Research Award from the Society of Plastics Engineers Lehigh Valley Section. Lehigh Valley SPE member Les Sperling presented the $1,000 award to Penn College senior Sean M. Stabler, Montoursville, during the section's January meeting.
A California-based avionics firm has donated a variety of equipment to Pennsylvania College of Technology to aid instruction in the college's Aviation Department. The equipment was donated by ASB Avionics, a company with operations in three California locations: Mojave, Santa Barbara and Van Nuys. Two female Pennsylvania College of Technology students reported this morning that someone entered their off-campus apartment on West Third Street. The incident was reported at 4:30 a.m. after they had awakened to find a black male inside their apartment. He apparently entered through an unlocked door.
A Pennsylvania College of Technology student reported being robbed at gunpoint Jan. 20 at an off-campus apartment on West Third Street. The incident was not reported to the Williamsport Bureau of Police until Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 24. The student was not injured. All students, faculty and staff should be alert for suspicious persons and potentially dangerous situations on and off campus.
