The 2024-25 PLNA Foundation Scholarship recipients are: Morgan R. Max, a forest technology student from Pipersville, and three landscape/plant production technology students: Jahrell M. Harper, of Bloomsburg; Jake A. Seasock, of Lancaster; and Saudiah Wells, of Williamsport.

Penn College may have been on a 1.5-hour delay Thursday morning, but Rob Hinkal, social media specialist, sprang into action to grab a few snowy mementos to share with the college community and its fans from afar. The annual Poinsettia Sale at Penn College’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center greenhouse begins on Monday, Dec. 9. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday while the inventory lasts. (The center is closed Saturday and Sunday.) According to the greenhouse elves, a variety of colors are available. Small poinsettias are $8, with large ones priced at $10.
A longtime partner of Pennsylvania College of Technology recently donated to one of the school’s largest programs. Employees of High Steel Structures LLC – through the High Foundation – contributed $3,400 for use in the college’s welding program. Over 360 students are enrolled in the welding & metal fabrication program cluster at the college.
