Career Services has arranged three “pop-up” employer information tables – each featuring a company looking to fill positions – for the week of Nov. 10. Students are encouraged to bring their resumes to these networking opportunities.

Student engagement recently hosted Grocery Loteria. Loteria is a Mexican game similar to bingo – a Penn College favorite. In addition to learning a new game, players had a chance to win packages of ingredients – with accompanying recipes – to make common Hispanic dishes.

A beautiful autumn day welcomed 1,740 prospective students and guests to the second fall Open House at Pennsylvania College of Technology, a 7% year-to-year increase in attendance.

This November, the Wildcat Express is hosting Give To The Cupboard – a monthlong event encouraging donations to The Cupboard to help students struggling with food insecurity. To kick the month off, The Cupboard received a donation from one of Penn College’s littlest Wildcats.

The women’s basketball team, coming off its best season in the program’s NCAA era, plays its first games this weekend, traveling to Alfred State on Friday and hosting Keuka College on Saturday in Bardo Gym.

The men’s basketball team will play its first game on Saturday at home against King’s College. Last season, the Wildcats advanced to the conference semifinals. “We will never be able to replace last year’s senior class, but instead we tried to reload with some talented transfers and new freshmen to come in and fill those shoes,” said Coach Geoff Hensley.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Workforce Development division has consolidated its program units under a single, cohesive brand, a move that reinforces the department’s aim to complement and extend the mission of the college.

In just its second season under coach Kyle Hawk, and with all new players this year, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team not only has doubled its win total from a year ago, but is headed into postseason play for the first time since 2013.

Among the hundreds of students supplementing their hands-on Penn College education through internships this year was Emma J. Turner, a culinary arts technology, professional baking and applied management student who became the first intern at Fireside Tavern, a busy restaurant and event space in Strasburg.

Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s and women’s cross-country teams finished third and fifth, respectively, in the United East Conference Championships – and totaled 10 all-conference honors in the process – while men’s and women’s soccer teams each won their UE quarterfinal matches, the women’s volleyball team concluded its first six-win regular season and three-win UE campaign since 2016, earning a postseason berth, and the wrestling team opened its season.
