A warm welcome is easing a chilly move-in for new and returning students this weekend at Penn College. Welcome Weekend is unfolding today through Sunday, with Spring 2025 classes starting on Monday. Comitz with an Alumni Achievement Award at its Fall 2024 Commencement ceremony, held Dec. 21 at the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport. Comitz, of Montoursville, is director of operations at Thermal Product Solutions, New Columbia.

Stanley G. Boler, a retired Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member, died Dec. 15 at the age of 78. A funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, in Spencer, Indiana. Boler retired from Penn College in 2012 as an associate professor of electronics. He joined the college faculty in 1987.
