A woman enrolled in the Practical Nursing Program at Penn College's North Campus has died. Mary J. Pond, 52, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 11, at her home. The Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, handled arrangements. Burial was in Portage Township Cemetery, Gardeau. Penn College flagswere lowered to half-staff in tribute.

The Automotive Department is accepting vehicles this semester (1996 model year or newer) in need of brake, steering and suspension repairs. Students also are performing pre-state inspections; they cannot put new stickers on your vehicle, but can determine what is needed to pass inspection and in most cases make the necessary repairs.
A new Web-site design is the latest in a series of enhancements to marketing messages delivered by the college's noncredit Workforce Development& Continuing Education operation. The redesigned Web site was launched Friday; complementing new designs introduced earlier this fall in WDCE's course catalog, brochures and newspaper advertisements.

The exhibit features three Philadelphia artists David Foss, Michelle Marcuse and Antonio Puri whose work celebrates the continued use and relevance of wax as a contemporary visual-art medium.
