Pennsylvania College of Technology presented faculty and staff with a variety of awards and recognized employees and retirees who have reached significant milestones as the 2023-24 academic year concludes. President Michael J. Reed celebrated the honorees during a May 9 All-College meeting in the Klump Academic Center auditorium.

Ten Pennsylvania College of Technology employees have earned Blue Belts in Innovation Engineering, following completion of a 15-week Innovation Leadership Series. The Blue Belt certification is from the Innovation Engineering Institute and is recognized throughout industry. They are the third Penn College group to complete the training.

First responders, detectives and pastry chefs were at work recently during “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” at Penn College. The Office of People & Culture invited employees to take part in the national celebration and organized hands-on engagement for children, 10 to 14 years old. Graphic design students and alumni from Pennsylvania College of Technology netted 20 awards in the 2023-24 American Advertising Awards Competition presented by the Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Advertising Federation. Penn College designs captured seven gold awards, eight silvers and five honorable mentions.

That simple yet powerful tool is taking "center stage" in Penn College's residence hall community, thanks to a collaboration between Residence Life and the college's American Welding Society student chapter.
Several students in Penn College’s human services & restorative justice major provided volunteer support recently to the Union County Giving Closet. The Penn College team pitched in to bag clothing, toys, books and other items donated following the Common Threads Consignment Sale. The items will help the Union County Giving Closet support local families in need.
