General Services’ HVAC and electrical crews recently installed a chiller from Sunbelt Rentals along the south-facing loop of the Breuder Advanced Technology & Health Sciences Center. Penn College welcomed 537 prospective students and over 1,500 total guests on Sunday for the second Open House of the Spring 2024 semester. Sunny skies certainly boosted spirits and illuminated a gorgeous campus beginning to bloom in spring splendor. In addition to main campus, Penn College’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center and Lumley Aviation Center opened their awe-inspiring doors to future tomorrow makers.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has hired industry veteran Benjamin R. Thomas as its director of construction and planning. Thomas comes to Penn College from Weis Markets Inc., where he was manager of architecture, responsible for the company’s conceptual and architectural designs. Thomas graduated in 1999 from Penn College's architectural technology major.

A manufacturer of fiber optic and copper network cabling has endowed a scholarship at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Leviton recently presented the college with a $25,000 gift to establish the scholarship. The donation places the company – a Corporate Tomorrow Maker – in the Ambassadors Society ($25,000-$49,999) on the college’s Donor Wall.
An Emergency Medical Technician course that begins the week of Aug. 19 is accepting registrations. Offered by Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Workforce Development, the course will prepare students who are interested in enrolling in Workforce Development’s paramedic certificate program starting on Jan. 6, 2025. The Emergency Medical Technician course will be offered at three locations. Seating is limited.
