A new initiative to increase visibility has been implemented by Penn College Police: the use of “cruise lights” on top of patrol vehicles. Cruise lights are dimmer than emergency lights and do not flash. Only the red and blue lights on the ends of the vehicle’s rooftop light bar are on.
The entire cohort of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s 2024 surgical technology graduates passed the national Certified Surgical Technologist Examination on their first attempt. The group graduated on Aug. 3.

It was a wild Wildcat Wednesday as first-year students moved into their residence halls with an eager assist from many happy helpers. Pennsylvania College of Technology has presented student achievement awards to its Summer 2024 graduates. A commencement ceremony was held Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Community Arts Center, Williamsport. Penn College is a special mission affiliate of Penn State.
Francesca Troutman, who retired as assistant dean for business and computer technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, died July 26 at the age of 75. Friends and family are invited to call from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Freeberg Funeral Home, 120 N. Williamson Rd., Blossburg.
