About 1,015 seventh-, eighth- and ninth-grade students from 11 schools and one home school participated in hands-on activities across campus Monday during Outreach for K-12’s semi-annual Career Day. Originally scheduled for March but postponed due to snow, the day offers younger students the opportunity to see a college campus while learning about a wide variety of careers.

Pennsylvania College of Technologyon Friday presented a bachelor's degree posthumously to a 20-year-old student from Hellertown who died in a traffic accident last year. Tracy A. Garis was an active campus leader, enrolled in the college's dental hygiene program at the time of her death. She served as a Resident Assistant and Student Ambassador for the college.
