In its latest issue published Monday, Plastics News includes Rader-Edkin in the 10th anniversary class of next-generation leaders – 35 of the industry's brightest lights, all age 35 or younger:

"My greatest achievement in my professional career is coming back to my alma mater to use my skills of teaching and training to not only assist the students that attend Penn College but to also have the opportunity to upskill the workforce of current plastic companies through workshops or customized trainings for injection molding," said Edkin, part of an impressive roster that was whittled down from 100 submissions.

"I'm confident that, in his role there, he's inspiring and guiding the next generation of plastics engineers," said Mercedes Landazuri, market insight manager for Ampacet Corp., who met the honoree when he was a Penn College junior. "Nathan Rader-Edkin isn't just a Rising Star; he's a builder of rising stars."

The article includes a brief Q&A in which Rader-Edkin – who earned an associate degree in business management (2015) and a bachelor's in plastics & polymer engineering technology (2019) – addresses on-the-job challenges, career advancement, and his perspective on plastics and sustainability.
