Penn College Names Web Competition Winners

A team from Lehigh Career & Technical Institute was recently named the winner in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s first Penn College Web Competition.
High schools were invited to bring teams of two to four students to Penn College’s campus on April 20, where they were provided text and images and tasked with developing a small website, with all code created by the competitors.
Members of the winning team are Alexander Cevicelow and Nicholas Gerancher.
The runner-up website was created by Biglerville High School students Megan Calderon, Bryan Diaz and Dylan Himes.
In all, seven teams from four high schools competed in the event, which was judged by Penn College web and interactive media students and faculty members Spyke M. Krepshaw, instructor, and Denise S. Leete, associate professor.
The students interacted with students and faculty, learned more about classes and potential careers, and toured the Penn College campus.
Also competing were teams from Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School and Dauphin County Technical School.
