‘Dr. Jean’ Set to Present at Young Children’s Education Conference

A nationally known inspiration to educators of young children will be the sole presenter at the 19th annual conference of the Central Susquehanna Association for the Education of Young Children on Saturday, April 5, at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Jean Feldman, known as “Dr. Jean,” inspires teachers with engaging songs and creative activities. She has published several books and recordings used by school systems across the country and actively shares her resources via a blog and Pinterest.
With an educational career spanning more than 40 years, Feldman is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the National Kindergarten Alliance and the International Reading Association. She holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Arts from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia.
The CSAEYC conference is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the college’s Klump Academic Center. Following presentations by Feldman, conference participants will gather for a luncheon.
The conference is open to association members as well as nonmembers. Act 48 credits and Continuing Education Units from Penn College are available for additional fees. The registration deadline is March 30. Attendees may register at www.pakeys.org by searching the Pennsylvania Keys to Quality professional development calendar for April 5 events in Lycoming County.
