In one of the final games of their short season, the Williamsport Crosscutters lost 5-3 in an 11-inning heartbreaker against the State College Spikes. Free ear buds and a carrying pouch were given to the first 750 fans, and a Tuition Baseball Roll at night's end gave selected students the chance (albeit unsuccessfully) to win $10,000 toward their college costs. New this year was a free Student Activities shuttle from the Rose Street Commons courtyard to the ballpark and back.
