North Campus Offers Computer Class for Adults 55-Plus

Adults 55-plus who want to learn more about using computers for fun and convenience may enroll in a noncredit course offered in June at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s North Campus, located at Wellsboro Area High School.

This easy beginners’ class, which is offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College, introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes.

The class will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays, June 18 and 25, in Room 210 at the high school.

The instructor will lead participants through topics such as emailing friends and family, surfing the Internet, social networking (Facebook), basic word-processing for letter-writing, and other enjoyable and practical applications.

The cost is $99. No previous computer knowledge is necessary. Coffee-break refreshments and handouts are included.
